This ten-day safari tour of two of East Africa’s most wildlife abundant countries, Kenya and Tanzania is a must for travelers wishing to take life by the scruff of the neck.

If you got designs on observing the great migration, when millions of wildebeest cross the Mara River and attempt to evade top predators, then any time between June and October is going to draw dramatic displays. Game drives in the Masai Mara, close to the Serengeti in Tanzania, are simply unforgettable.

In 10 days, you will be touring and exploring Kenya and Tanzania safari famous parks with safari starting 1 night lake Nakuru national park, 2 nights Masai mara, 2 nights Serengeti, 1 night Ngorongoro, 1 night Tarangire and 2 nights Amboseli – end round tour of Kenya and Tanzania safari in Nairobi.

It’s important to note that Kenya and Tanzania safari Tour can be tailored starting the itinerary  with 1 night in Nairobi with half day free city tour and completing in Arusha via Lake Manyara or Lake Nakuru however, this is your trip so if you fancy journeying in the opposite direction then just let us know. The Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Amboseli National Park can all be experienced on a safari tour of Kenya and Tanzania.

Extra night at Serengeti or Masai mara is recommended between July-October, this give ample time if your Kenya and Tanzania safari aim is to watch the great wildebeest migration happening at the time.

 

 

Full detailed Kenya and Tanzania safari itinerary

  • Day 1 Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

    Early morning breakfast; 0730AM, depart for a 3hrs drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a short game drive en route to the lodge. Afternoon game drives after lunch. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge

  • Day 2 Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

    Have an early-morning breakfast. Meet your driver-guide at the reception and depart for the drive to Masai Mara National Reserve with a game drive en-route out of Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive for late lunch. After lunch, enjoy the afternoon with a safari drive at the Masai Mara Reserve. You will spend the night at Mara Sopa Lodge

  • Day 3 Full Day Masai Mara

    The Masai Mara Reserve is most known for its variety of wildlife, such as the lions, wildebeest, rhinoceros, zebras, antelope, and other exotic creatures. Therefore, you have the benefit of the day in the reserve with a full-day safari and a picnic lunch, or you could enjoy separate early-morning, morning, or afternoon safaris. With all the wildlife and beautiful grasslands, it is not a day to be forgotten. Overnight will be at Mara Sopa Lodge.

  • Day 4 Masai Mara – Serengeti National Park

    This morning, rise early for your last safari in the Masai Mara Reserve. Return to the lodge for breakfast, showers, and checkout. Have your visa ready for customs and immigration at the Tanzania border and for the crossing into Tanzania. Once in Tanzania, you will be met and driven to the famous Serengeti National Park with an en-route afternoon game drive on the way to the Lodge. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight will be at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge

  • Day 5 Full Day Serengeti

    Spend the entire day on game drives in the vast Serengeti National Park, with a morning and an afternoon safari of the infinitely beautiful plains of the Serengeti, you will be nothing but amazed with the range of wildlife from the lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, black rhinos, and variety of flora and fauna. All meals and overnight will still be at Serengeti Sopa Lodge

  • Day 6 Serengeti – Ngorongoro

    This morning, enjoy another safari in the Serengeti. Return for breakfast, showers, and checkout and then drive to the Ngorongoro National Park, arriving in time for lunch. You will have afternoon game drives in search of more game, then return back to the lodge before dark falls. Overnight will be at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

  • Day 7 Ngorongoro – Tarangire National Park

    Today, enjoy a morning excursion into the world-famous crater reserve. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch depart for the drive to Tarangire National Park arrive early in time for late afternoon game drives en route to Tarangire Sopa lodge for dinner and overnight

  • Day 8 Tarangire – Amboseli National Park

    This morning, you will have an early morning game drives returning back in time for breakfast. Depart for the drive to Amboseli (Kenya) with a stopover for lunch en route. You will arrive at Amboseli in time for afternoon game drives in search en route to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge

  • Day 9 Full Day Amboseli

    This I would suggest being a relaxing day where you can have an early morning game drives which will also give you a chance to see Mt. Kilimanjaro clearly even taking photos with it in the background, returning back in time for breakfast. Relax at the lodge to enjoy the nice setup and also view of Kilimanjaro from the room/lodge. You can decide to have an afternoon game drives with dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa lodge

  • Day 10 Amboseli – Nairobi

    This morning, have an early morning game drives returning back in time for breakfast. Depart for the drive back to Nairobi with a drop off at the Airport or to a city hotel.
